Assoc. Prof. Hakan SOFU was born in Germany in 1981. He completed his pre-license education in Sakarya and graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 2006 and received the title of Doctor of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialization Training at Istanbul Baltalimanı Bone Diseases Training and Research Hospital and became an Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist in 2012. In 2012-2013, he served compulsory service in Amasya Suluova State Hospital. Afterwards, he continued his academic activities as an Assistant Professor at Erzincan University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology for 5 years. In 2016, he continued his academic studies abroad as an invited clinical researcher at the University of Essen, Germany and became an Associate Professor in 2018. Since September 2018, he has worked at Bahçelievler MedicalPark Hospital and simultaneously continued his academic activities as an Associate Professor at Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Dr. Hakan SOFU has 54 scientific articles in international refereed journals and 13 scientific articles in national refereed journals. In addition, he has 59 free papers presented at international and domestic scientific meetings and published in the congress book. Dr. Hakan SOFU, whose clinical work focuses on sports injuries, arthroscopic joint surgery and joint prosthesis applications, continues to serve his patients by applying the treatment procedures of many different diseases in the field of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
