YAG Capsulotomy

YAG capsulotomy is a medical procedure performed to address a common complication that may occur after cataract surgery. Cataract surgery involves removing the cloudy lens and replacing it with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). However, over time, the thin, clear capsule that holds the IOL in place may become cloudy, causing a condition known as posterior capsule opacification (PCO). YAG capsulotomy is the solution to restore clear vision when PCO occurs. 

YAG capsulotomy is a non-invasive laser procedure performed to create a small opening in the cloudy posterior capsule. This opening allows light to pass through to the retina, improving vision by eliminating the blurriness or haziness caused by posterior capsule opacification.
